Why PDN exists
Privacy defense is the active protection of people from those who would find, watch, or target them. The methods behind it usually stay inside firms and protective details, priced for people and companies facing serious threats.
Most people face a quieter version of the same problem. Their address is one search away. Their habits are for sale. Their exposure grows on its own, through digital exhaust, while they go about their day.
PDN puts the fundamentals in the open, so anyone can run the first layer of their own defense for free.
Who runs it
PDN is built and operated by the team at Darkveil, a privacy defense firm based in Northern Virginia. Everything published here draws on the firm’s working methodology, adapted for people running their own defense.
What PDN will never do
PDN does not sell your data or run ads against your attention, and there is no mailing list to hand your address to. The material is the product, and it is free. That is the whole model.
Some situations are past the DIY line.
Everything PDN publishes is something you can do yourself, and for most people it is enough. Some situations go further: a stalker, a public role, a threat that stays, a family that needs to disappear from the map.
